What to do about rapes, crimes and disasters?
If asked the question, “What is our world like?”, most of the answers would be: It’s bad filled with crimes, murders, rapes, harassments, violence, riots and tortures. And if your answer is the same, this one’s for you. If I was asked the same question, my answer would be, “It’s a beautiful place”. Wondering why I say so? Because, our world isn’t just filled with rapes, crimes and murders. Yes, I do agree we get these hideous news every hour something bad happened. I know the statistics and I'm aware of the elevation of the pathetic conditions. But…. I also know there are good things happening every minute, too. Good things that’s not being spoken in the news, good things that we should all focus on, cherish, appreciate and feel proud of as human beings. Things like: an infant, abandoned on the street is now being adopted and brought into a family that he/she can grow up to and have a real chance in life, a calf with food poisoning has been rescued and kept safe, stray dogs are being pet, loved, played with and fed by random people, somewhere a girl has defended herself from an assassin, success stories of people, and so on.
If you close your eyes and feel these two different directions of looking at, you’ll know which world feels better to you, doesn’t it?
The world is filled with good things and bad things - and we can do very little about most of it. But what you have to do is to make your choices; you can really do is to choose what direction you want to look at, what benefits you, what inspires you, what direction keeps you mentally stable, healthy and motivated to move on. And as the Law of attraction says, “thoughts become things”. In other words, as you think of negative things, you will attract and invite more and more negative things. But as you make a conscious decision to look into the direction of possibilities, goodness and positivity- you will receive and experience more and more good things.
Am I asking you to ignore the crimes?
No! Definitely not. Be informed because only then can you take the precautions to be safe. But again, don’t let fear lead you. Don’t let it get into the way of you and your dreams because we all have one life, just one, live it, live it smartly and safely. Be updated with the news, no doubt, check selective the news, or ask someone who reads every day the news about updates.
Remember, you should get news only for two reasons:
- For helping you to take precautions and safety measures
- And / or for you going out there and making a change
As per the first point is concerned, we usually update ourselves ever since about safety in general as well as in particular, depending on our circumstances, place of living, etc.
In order to survive we need to be informed. And I agree to every bit of it.
But is that all we live for? Taking precautions and measures to avoid being the next victim of something? No! Right? There is more to life. There are dreams to be accomplished, places to visit, bucket list to be ticked off and so much more. And you definitely can’t do this if you cage yourself at home – too afraid to face the world, which isn’t that bad after all. If the news really frightens you, it’s best to select your news and else switch off your TV and news notifications; instead look out for positive things you want to read, or learn or get to know; like making your bucket list or work on your existing one, plan a vacation off your town with friends or family, etc.. Plan and work on yourself and create the life you truly want; see yourself enjoying life.
Coming to the second point: Making a change. The second reason you should be informed is if you want to do something about it. But what if you can’t? I say, you don’t need to bother, we need more people in the world who stand up for the right things. Go out there and live your gifted life (call it by the universe or by any god you belief in). It is, however, not always so easy done than it is said. I have listed 10 points, if you can relate to one or more of them then you should have a mind clearing session.
- Your worst fear is to get to know yourself
- Even leaving home for work seems scary
- You can’t stand being alone
- You can’t wear some particular clothes as according to society it “attract lusty eyes”
- You get anxious when reading/ coming across crime news
- You develop suspicious thoughts about everyone around you
- You don’t trust 100% even your friends and family
- You resort to keeping yourself caged at home
- Thinking the world is a bad place
- You feel lonely and kind of lost or overwhelmed but didn’t share it with someone yet
Before you panic again, let me tell you, you aren’t the only one. There is help. It’s completely fine if you find it difficult to talk about it to your friends and family, you can take help from therapists or life coaches. Don’t hesitate to ask for help. To be interdependent, you need to know what's best for you, that can mean to be smart and ask for help. It’s ok to not feel okay, but definitely not ok to not being able to live your life.
Life coaches are trained to understand your life and help you get through your fears, obstacles and problems. They also can take you to the places you actually want to be. They talk to you, deduce your perception, analyze your words and lead you accordingly. They ask mainly questions and help you to find your own answers. That procedure is a process that ultimately helps you understand yourself better. Jasmin Waldmann is one of the world-renowned Life Coaches. Most people do not live their life, because their fears are leading their actions.
The universe gives you what you ask for. Ask for crimes and rapes, you will see it all in the news, it will seem to be everywhere. Ask for a happy and blissful life, you will have it. That is exactly how Law of Attraction works; write your life story and think of it every single day. You create your opportunities and take your decisions. Confucius, a Chinese philosopher once said, “We have two lives and the second one begins when we realize we have only one”. Don’t wait too long for the realization or you’ll miss an opportunity to live the life in your way.
I wish you a happy living with helpful thoughts, Jasmin Waldmann
