Retreat in Nature
“Don’t hurry. Don’t worry.
You’re only here for a short visit.
So don’t forget to stop and smell the roses.”
Walter Hagen
A lot happens to you over the week that leaves you feeling squeezed empty. In the daily hustle-bustle, you accumulate a lot of worrying and negative thoughts that pile up through the week. You feel drained from too much information processing (be it news, apps, emails, texts, social media…). You feel hemmed in by the lack of space at home. Your mind is a blur from doing the same things, the same way, and watching the same things over and over again. No adventures, no freshness, nothing new. Same old, same old!
By the end of the week, you find yourself crushed under the weight of negativity, information overload, social saturation, emotional and physical space crunch, and stress and exhaustion of all kinds. You feel numb and somewhat lost. It happens to almost everyone, and you are not alone. But, you alone can help yourself out of this asphyxiating state and refresh your mind, body and soul.
Disconnect.
Yes, disconnect to connect. Use your weekends to disengage from your daily routine, to get away from the mental and physical pollution, to lift up your mood, to relax, recharge, and rejuvenate.
A good way is to make your way toward a homestay not far from where you live. You will find all the comforts of home away from home, and some more
Get away from all you already know and experience something fresh and new.
You could wake up to the calls of peacocks and koels. You could walk among trees and breath in fresh air. You could see the sun and rain do their dance on the Aravallis and be one with nature. You could frolic with the rabbits, observe foxes, and make friends with the dogs. You could watch the stars and the moon light up the sky. Also, you could enjoy yourself and your family or friends at a bonfire along with home-cooked vegetarian, delicious food. You could even fall asleep as the tender breeze kisses you good night and wake up to an all-new you.
Go into nature, have a short vacation. You deserve to have some time from home.
You can also visit Jasmin Waldmann’s farmhouse to reconnect with yourself, your friends and family weekend after weekend or holiday after holiday. You will not only feel lighter and happier, you will also feel healed. Your immune system will feel blessed too!
Oh, and when you are on your way back to the city, don’t forget to stop and smell the roses! 😉
Happy care taking, Jasmin Waldmann
